A Guide to 2017’s Christmas Coffees ( Where to Try Them in MK)
A festive drinks guide for coffee fans this Christmas and the best places to try them in Milton Keynes.
What makes Christmas, Christmas? From Greggs’ festive pasty to Starbucks’ famous Gingerbread Latte, there are many things that mark the start of the festive season on the Milton Keynes high street. If you’re a hot drinks lover (best way to warm up, right?) then this guide is for you.
A list of the best Christmas flavoured coffees to devour instead of your usual Americano (boring)…..
Eggnog Latte (£3.15 from Starbucks)
A classic Christmas drink made into a caffeinated dream for those cold winter mornings (and zero alcohol of course). Made with espresso and eggnog flavouring and finished with a sprinkling of nutmeg.
Where to try: Starbucks at Intu MK, Starbucks at Silbury Arcade, Starbucks at The Place Retail Park
Gingerbread Latte (£3.15 from Starbucks)
The festive classic for anyone who has a weakness for baked goods at this time of year. This delicious combo of coffee, gingerbread syrup and ginger bread whipped cream is like Christmas in a cup!
And don’t forget those wafer crumbs on top, mmm.
Where to try: Starbucks at Intu MK, Starbucks at Silbury Arcade, Starbucks at The Place Retail Park
Salted Caramel Cappucino (£2.75 from Costa)
Costa have their own version of the Gingerbread Latte but one of their even more indulgent coffee treats is the Salted Caramel Cappuccino. It’s a must try for anyone who loves the contrast of sweet and salty. Just don’t be counting your calories because this drink is more naughty than nice when it comes to the waistline.
Where to try: Costa at Intu MK, Costa at centre:mk, Costa on Midsummer Boulevard
Festive Flat White (£2.75 from Pret)
Hipster with a bit of Christmas cheer. The Festive Flat White takes a classic flat white coffee and adds mince pie syrup to add some warm spices and dried fruit flavours to your palate. A must try for anyone who considers themselves to be ‘hip’ or ‘hygge’.
Where to try: Pret at Intu MK, Pret on Midsummer Boulevard
Spiced Cookie Latte (from McDonald’s)
Mmm…..milk and cookies (with a decent shot of caffeine). It’s the ultimate Christmas combo and will warm you up from the inside, and tastes like a cross between a spiced ginger nut and a caramelised biscuit. Made with spiced cookie flavour syrup, with a dusting of spiced sugar on the top!
Where to try: McDonald’s at Midsummer Arcade, McDonald’s at Xscape Milton Keynes
