This Weekend: The Big Apple Pick in MK
Enjoy a fun family day out by volunteering to pick this year’s cider apple crop at The Parks Trust's Orchard in Woughton on the Green. Free cider and apple juice for helpers!
This weekend, there are firework events taking place all over the city. But if you’re looking for something fun to do during the day, why not join Artisan MK Food & Drink at The Parks Trust's Orchard for a day of apple picking? This is a volunteer event and they are looking for people of all ages to come and help them with selecting their apples for the season.
The Big Pick is all about community spirit and you can help to gather fruit for this year’s cider production, but there are some serious perks to volunteering your time! Free cider will be served whilst you’re there helping out and there will be free apple juice for the little ones. It’s hard work but a lot of fun at the same time and the kids will love it (especially when they hear about the free juice).
In addition to the free beverages being supplied to the pickers, you will also have a chance to try some tasty street food from Mr & Mrs Fitz Fabulous Foods. They will be bringing their mobile food van around lunchtime to make sure everyone is well fed!
The picking will take place from 10am to 3pm so there’s plenty of time for you to come down and join the fun.
