Half Term is Here! (Fun Things to Do in MK)

From space shuttles in our favourite shopping centre to messy play and crafts, the city of Milton Keynes has plenty going on to keep your kids in check this Half Term.

February Half Term is upon us, and no doubt little terrors are ready and raring to go for a week filled with fun and adventure. Here are some of the fantastic family-friendly things you can do with kids of all ages before they return to school.

5, 4, 3, 2, Fun! Space Adventure at centre:mk (10th – 18th Feb)

The team at centre:mk are asking you to hold onto your rocket boosters, because their week-long space event is here. Get ready for 9 whole days of space exploration, with colouring and crafts, Spot The Spaceman, a planetarium dome, models of real space ships, live footage from space telescopes, and a chance to talk to the experts about space travel. This event is in partnership with astronomers from the Open University and is perfect for miniature space travellers who want to follow in the footsteps of Buzz Aldrin or Tim Peake.

Half Term Fun Play Sessions @ Various Locations (14th – 16th Feb)

MK Council have arranged a number of ‘messy play sessions’ at various locations, so your kids can get hands-on with crafts, games and more! There’ll be song singing, dancing and lots of messy activities so be sure to bring a change of clothes. Just a £1 contribution is required for the session and it will take place at Olney Centre on Wednesday 14th Feb (9:30am to 10:30am), Hanslope Village Hall on Thursday 15th Feb (2pm to 3pm), and Astwood & Hardmead Village Hall on Friday 16th Feb (10am to 11am).

You can tweet @mkcouncil to find out more or make sure you follow them for updates.
