This Mother’s Day: Vintage Afternoon Tea (Sun 11th Mar)
Mums love afternoon tea. Fact. It’s hard not to when there’s so much tea (ahh) and cake (mmm) involved. It’s the epitome of daytime luxury for anyone who enjoys sweet treats and well-brewed cuppas. So if you’re looking to make your mum feel special this Mother’s Day (whilst being able to stuff your faces), you won’t want to miss out on this fun and fabulous event at Bradwell Abbey.
The City Discovery Centre at Bradwell Abbey in MK will be hosting a special Vintage Afternoon Tea experience within a beautiful historic setting and quintessentially British décor. Mums and daughters (or sons) will be treated to a glass of prosecco on arrival, and there will be a fine selection of finger sandwiches, savouries, cakes and sweets, all served on spectacular vintage crockery.
And of course, there will be lots of tea flowing for anyone who’s a fan of a good brew. As well as live entertainment from Vintage Vanity and amazing vocalist Kaley.
Being able to enjoy a luxury afternoon tea at Bradwell Abbey will also be something to remember. The abbey is one of the most important historical sites in the Milton Keynes area, and is a Scheduled Ancient Monument (no.19062) that is a rare survival of the medieval precinct in this region. It’s also home to some of the city’s most significant wildlife, so it’s a great place to walk around and enjoy the wonderful outdoors.
Tickets are just £21.50 per person and can be purchased by calling 01908 227229, or emailing information@mkcdc.org.uk.
